Balance Activ making me itch like hell!

I've had BV a couple of times and now use Balance Activ for a couple of days after my period to keep things in check. I normally use the gel as its more widely available, but have used the pessaries in the past without problem. This time I got a box of pessaries, I woke up the next day itchy like hell and so uncomfortable. I've never had anything like it, tea tree and olive oil was the only thing that would touch it. I wondered if it was just a coincidence so tried once again a few days later and it started it itch immediately.

Anyone know why this would be? I checked and they're in date and properly sealed.

Isn't Balance Active a yoghurt?

OhAhhMissus · 27/01/2015 20:43

I wish it was. Yogurt would probably have been considerably less itch inducing.

I have this problem, too! The itching happens the second I put the gel in. WHY?! It’s horrible ☹️

Could it be that the balance is wrong and more towards thrush? If you are using it asymptomatically the obvious solution is not to I'd have thought.

It's possible but I've had both before and it doesn't present like thrush at all. I'll buy the canesten diagnosis kit if necessary, though
