In mid November I damaged my finger somehow when a door hit it. Pain was excrutiating, I thought I was going to be sick, and I had a lovely bruise that spread down my hand.
Finger moved fine and a nurse friend mauled it a bit and said it was unlikely to be broken.
It is my ring finger but I wasn't wearing any rings at the time.
My finger is mostly fine now, aches a bit in the cold but I have been left with a very swollen knuckle. So swollen I can't get my wedding ring over it. If I try to put the rings on I get a sharp pain in te knuckle.
My question, I suppose, is how long do I wait for the swelling to go down before I head ot the jeweller to have my rings sized to go over the bump?
I can use the finger fine, crochet makes it ache a bit as it is the finger I tension the wool with!
