No There are loads of mothers who have said their baby came down with RV after receiving the vaccine. Its a live virus inside the vaccine. Babies gut and immune system, doesnt really fully start until 6mths- so I dont know why they are giving it to babies. WHO advise mothers not to breastfed when their child gets the vaccine because mothers milk has antibodis which protects the baby and kills the virus.

It seems like it depends where you are.

Just read this NHS leaflet, and it says:

"Because the vaccine is given by mouth, it’s possible that the virus in the vaccine will pass through your baby’s gut and be picked up by whoever changes his or her nappy.
All those in close contact with recently vaccinated infants should observe good personal hygiene (e.g. washing their hands after changing a child’s nappy)."

The leaflet also explains why the vaccine is given to young babies, and cannot be given after 24 weeks.

Ugh. Thanks. I've not fed him since this morning. He's had bottles :(
