I had a mirena coil fitted a few months ago, and long story short it's gone through my uterus and is floating about in my abdomen. I've got to have it surgically removed and have finally got an appointment for laparoscopy to pull it out.
Has anyone here experienced similar? I am keen to know how painful it will be afterwards and for how long. My DH is supposed to be going away for a week for work 2 days after my operation and we have 2 DC aged 4 and 8 months. He needs to cancel his trip doesn't he, is there any way I'll be up to looking after the kids on my own that soon?
