Swollen breast

Noticed this morning that one of my breasts has a swollen lump, near the top, on the outer side. Never noticed it before so decided to keep an eye on it. Checked now and it's still there and can feel a definite swelling, in a lump shape

Any clues what this may be or may have caused it?

Note I have never had children, so never breastfed. Am currently TTC but definitely not pregnant.

And I will be phoning to see a doctor in the morning! Just hoping someone can put my mind at rest!

Sorry you're having this worry but of course seeing your GP is absolutely the best thing to do.

Hard to do, but try not to poke and prod between now and then!

It could be all sorts of hormonal things to how you slept last night.
You are doing the right thing though, ie docs in the morning.

So it is still swollen this morning, was wide awake until 3am thinking about it and prodding it to see if it had disappeared. It hasn't.

Phoned doctors, no appointments today or tomorrow. Do I phone back and tell the receptionist why I need the appointment pretty quickly - I didn't tell her the nature of my appointment, but I don't think I'll have any sanity left by next week if I don't get this checked out

Yes definitely do. You should qualify for an urgent appointment.
