Could this be a migraine?

A headache/pain stabbing in my left temple, doesn't shift with paracetamol. The pain radiates down the side of my face too. I felt nausea at some points.

I had a horrible stabby headache a few days ago that I put down to hormones.

It does sound like it. I find paracetamol doesn't make any difference when I have a migraine even with codeine in it. I tried Nurofen plus this time as my Dr said to try it as it's anti inflammatory. It seemed to help. I usually have pain in one spot behind my eye or on one side of my head. The nausea with a headache would indicate a migraine.

Thanks. Was so different to headache. Even the tension ones.

I'm allergic to ibuprofen unfortunately, so can't take nurofen.

My migraines are slightly different to that. The pain you describe sounds similar to what I experienced when I had an infected wisdom tooth. The nerve became infected and the pain radiated up to my temple and down into my neck and collarbone.
Have you tried pink Migraleve?

Aspirin is also an inflammatory, so try that if you're not allergic.

anti-inflammatory

Allergic to aspirin as well, it is very annoying!

I've had one set of wisdom teeth out, I have dentist next week, so I'll mention it.
