Hand foot and mouth while pregnant

It looks like dd has picked up HF&M. She seems ok in herself, just lots of little spots on her knees, bum and ankles and maybe a couple blisters in her mouth (teething so hard to be sure).
Thing is I'm 15 weeks pregnant and though as far as I can tell from internet research its of no risk to baby I just can't help worrying. I have a Drs app on Thursday anyway so can ask then, but does anyone have any experience of this?
Also how long is it likely to last in dd? Noticed spots day before yesterday and still seem to be spreading so is it likely to get a lot worse first?

Yes, I had this when 7-8wks pregnant with ds. Your Dr may not know lots didn't seem to. It's a coxsackie virus, so there are theoretical risks to the baby (can't remember what, though). But my ds was fine (tho they did an extra scan in Fetal Medicine at 20 weeks at which they also informed me he was going to be a girl.

I wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks Frogs. So its not really woth me phoning my dr now or anything, if they don't do anything anyway. Did you actually have HF&M yourself btw or were you just exposed to it?

Dd has this & I'm 14 weeks pg - I've done a fair bit of checking on the internet & there doesn't seem to be any definite evidence of harm in pregnancy so am feeling fairly OK about it. Plus, chances are I'm immune anyway and (hopefully) won't get it.

Dd started to get off colour on tuesday, wasn't well on wednesday with a very sore mouth & fever and has been better the last couple of days but still not quite right and sore mouth. She can only drink milk & eat weetabix as everything else I've tried makes her cry with pain from the mouth ulcers poor thing. Have been plying her with calpol, neurofen & teething gel!

I actually had HF&M, at least just the mouth blisters and a temperature, like a mild dose of flu. I only realised what it was in retrospect when I noticed little blisters all over dd1's toes. Most of the Drs didn't know much about it, in the end they got a report from a senior virologist at the hospital who said it was probably fine, but worth doing a special scan at 20 wks.

I have a scan at the end of the month anyway when I'll be 18n weeks so hopefully all will be well.
