nausea, diarrhoea and rotten egg burps - wtf? please help

it started yesterday morning by me feeling sick.
then i started having burps that taste like rotten eggs.
then stomach cramps (like period pains), bloating and by the evening i was feeling quite ill, had a mild fever too.

and this morning diarrhoea started, very watery and sudden bouts of it

Dr Google says it could be many things (inc a parasite )and I'm waiting for gp to call back but in the meantime I don't know what to do regarding eating/drinking etc and what I could take - I have a 5 months old whom I BF.
I think I'm a bit dehydrated but feel like I'm about be sick if I drink even water.
I'm exhausted and don't know what to do.
please help - if you have had similar what was it?
I worry my baby or kids might catch it.

Here is what cured me of these symptoms:

After suffering for a couple of years with occasional (but increasingly frequent) sulfur burps followed by intense vomiting , I finally went to see a gastroenterologist, who, after examining my stomach per an endoscopy, and seeing only that the lining of my stomach was red and swollen, put me on a two month's regimen of Sucralfate 1GM tablets (1 tablet twice daily) . . . and the problem has never returned!!!

In fact, my last occurrence was July 1, 2017, six months ago (whereas before treatment I was having an episode of burbs/vomiting about once a week)!

Ask your physician if you might try Sucralfate (which is a generic drug), as I've had only success with it. (I took the Sucralfate for those two months for which my doctor prescribed it, and have not needed it since.)

Hey i have this thing that when i burp i taste egg occasionaly does it mean i will be sick each time or wat bc evrytime i have had this i have thrown up

I know this is an old post but it sounds like to me a sulfate intolerance or a molybdenum deficiency that can cause sulfate toxicity. eat more molybdenum's dont eat or drink sulfates. :)

I am going to my local doctor today as I Get this everytime I am ill. Horrible burps, sickness, and diarrhea. Usually, it doesn't last as long as it has with me, but it has lasted Wednesday till Friday last week and carried on again from Monday till today (Tuesday). This has been going on for too long and I am also going to talk to my doctor and possibly my GP.

I dealt with same thing off and on for 6 weeks and multiple trips to ER with no relief in sight. Finally, started taking Prilosec and it stopped ALL symptoms. It was overproduction of hydrogen sulfide in the body. Milk can do it, sugar can and a diet high in protein can as well. Mine comes back from time to time but as soon as I start taking Prilosec or any acid reducers by the next day the sulfer burps are gone and no other symptoms like cramping or nausea even start. Sorry to hear this, my gallbladder is out too. Has been for years. But both my husband and i have had the same symptoms since Nov. 2018. They have been on and off. Feel good for a week or to and than get a bought of vomiting diarrhea rotten egg burps bloating and stomach pains. Last a couple of days, Doc thinks we have H.pylori. But have not gotten any testing done yet. Our adult son lives with us and he has not been sick.

did you end up vomiting as well as the other symptoms and did your children catch it? just out of curiosity for myself?! thanks :)

This used to happen to me every few years or so, and I couldn't figure out why. I finally started suspecting it might be from certain foods and saw an allergist. I came back positive for many allergies, including nuts and eggs. Since then, I've figured out that almonds, specifically, give me sulfur burp and make me vomit for 1-3 days. It's not necessarily a bug; it could be a food allergy. When I accidentally ingest almonds or almond extract, I usually eat plain rice and chicken broth until the sickness stops.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this, I’ve just had my gallbladder out and having these symptoms stupidly after eating fried food thinking I was ok. I’m only 4 weeks post op and did end up back in a&e with biliary colic but didn’t have these symptoms just sever pain. Thanks :)

I've been having this nearly every week for about a year now, and haven't had any help everytime I phone the docs I'm told to come along but hi can I when I've got no control over my bowls all I wud like to no if this is common and what I should do x

Hello. Recently my fiance and I moved into a trailer that seemed to be infested with some sort of mites. We were constantly itching and scratching and we did find bed bugs in the trailer too. We soon found out that the previous tenant had a dog grooming business that she ran from that trailer. We have since moved out and my fiance has these tiny white things that are coming out of his skin all over and our linens and clothes have these black specs that are showing up everywhere. Any suggestions of what these things could be or what we can do to get rid of these things.

I doubt anyone Is around anymore, but this is one of the threads I read 3 years ago when my attacks started. And 3 years later I finally have an answer (and it’s a newly recognised disorder) it’s is HYDROGEN SULFIDE SIBO.
Contact a naturopath and let them know, mine ordered a complete microbiome stool sample, and it was overrun with this bacteria. Finally a diagnosis. I’m only early days in but having a diagnosis is such a relief, and I want to help everyone I can get their answers too.
