Flu chest infection. NOw think I'm hallucinating. Any advice?

I've got flu and chest infection. Saw OOH dr yesterday. DH has taken DCs to MIL for two days I'm meNt to be working but I'm so ill.
This evening my temp shot up to 42 degrees and I started talking gibberish to myself. I thought the cat could hear my thoughts and if I wanted to move my hand, I had to tell my brain to tell my hand, like I was outside my body.

Temp down to 39 now, still high and I've taken night nurse to sleep. But it really worries me.
Is this normal with flu?

Phone out of hours again or 111 - especially because you are on your own - or phone someone/family to spend the night with you - hallucination is normal with high temps - but if you have not had it before (I mean if it is not normal for you) it can be sign of something more serious. If it was me, I would ring a loved one & phone the doc again after I had taken the right dosage of painkillers that will take the temp down -

Have you had any paracetamol?

I think I would call out of hours GP.

Thank you for your responses. I went to bed with aspirin, ibuprofen and night nurse and slept 14 hours. DH is coming back from M
IL today which will mean I'm not worrying somuch about it. This flu is horrific.
