Do I still need to see my GP?

I posted a thread a couple or so days ago regarding a lump around my back passage. (sorry, hoping I've not just put somebody off their breakfast)

I wasn't sure if it was piles or something, mainly shooting pains or sometimes constant pain as well as the lump, but there was no bleeding, and no real bad pain while using the loo. The lump came as a surprise, sudden appearance, sudden pain.

Had to wait until now to try to get in to see my GP, as I'm off today. I was shortstaffed at work during the week so couldn't go then.

The lump has gone down a bit now, and not had much pain since last night. Is it still worth me going? Do piles go on their own, if it was piles?

Sorry about this. I don't want to waste the GP's time. Do I still need to go?

I would attend this appointment, you would not be wasting the GPs time at all here.
