Have I put this in the right place??

I am still breastfeeding my 8.5 month old ds and for the last couple of weeks or so I have been getting quite severe sharp shooting pains in my boobs, right boob more so than the left. Its a kind of pain that makes me stop in my tracks only lasts for a few seconds but quite painful.

Really not sure what it is, does anyonehave any idea?

Thank you in advance, em

Hello, I think there are breasfeeding specifiv threads which my help. I got that, it is was a bolcked milk duct and it absolutely bl**dy killed! I believe you should feel if there is a lump, if you can find it then this is where the blockage is. Massage the lump towards the nipple as you feed, this will ease the blockage. Or, may be a cracked nipple (ouch!), in which case try some Kammilosan or similar, and try leaving that side for a day if poss. Hope that helps, look for some other threads I have just read one with lots od feeding advice
