I went through a phase of getting it around 15 years ago. Really nasty and I still get travel sick today (I'm sure because of it).

What are you taking for it?

If it hangs around for a long time, it might be worth getting a referral to the ENT.

cod its not unusual to get repeat bouts, i was struck down with it 2 years ago and failed to compensate from it, as a result my balance is damaged, im currently suffering another bout and feel awful.
drink plenty and once the worst part of the dizziness is past, make sure you move about as normal, even if it feels unpleasant, as it will help your brain compensate, dont take vestibular supprsents either.

the tablets youve got are vestibular suppresents, they stop the ear sending the dizzy signals to your brain, so help a little but in the long run, can stop you getting better as your brain needs to experience the dizziness in order to get better.

you will probably feel terrible if you drink, as having labs is like being drunk with out the drink!.

yep, got it in november 04, but i never got better so have been left with some degree of permanent dizziness, then every time i get a cold, or flu..euurrgghh....

It's awful isn't it! I have had it a few times my Dr told me that it's a reacurring illness that will never be as bad as the last time you had it - Ie it decreases in severity each time you get it!

He gave me a prescription for Stementil (I think thats right) I keep a supply of them in my cupboard so that when it flares up I can take the tablets asap

You have my sympathy though as it's nasty!

cod tiredness is usual, as the brain is working harder to keep you balanced, saw your other thrtead, you should have gone straight home and put your feet up!

Ooo Cod you and me both. Went to doctors today because just walking around was making me feel dizzy and sick and he prescribed me some pills that worryingly state they are also used in the treatment of schizophrenia They made me feel so spaced out at work that I couldn't really understand what anyone was saying to me but was trying to act normal (just like when I'm drunk!) If I feel like this in the morning it will be a day in bed for me I think

littlelamb, youve been given stemetil, dont worry its most common use is a a vestibular suppresent and ant-emetic, try not to take it for more than a week though if you can.

if you feel really awful, then sleep, but by carrying on more or less as normal you will recver quicker.
