pain after coil removal

Am having copper coil removed tomorrow after struggling for over 3 years with constant cramping, terrible period pain and flooding with my periods. The insertion was painful and it was agony for several days after and I couldn't do more exercise than walking for a few months (yes, months) after whilst it settled down (I now know this not to be the norm but it really doesn't like me). Edge lovely, if anyone's going to get pain from it it'll be me! One of my main reasons for having it taken out is the amount of painkillers I'mregularly taking because of it.

So, I'm not talking about the actual removal but the hours and days after, is there likely to be pain or cramping? What shall I prepare myself for?!
