Indian teething pendants- any good? where from? Don't say India!

Hi, I've read about Indian teething pendants in a book by Gowri Motha, can anyone tell me any more? Do they work? How much are they? Where can I get one from? Much obliged!-(face with many teeth!)

We used two of these for our babies entire teething process.
The problem is, once they were on we didn't want to take them off in case his teething got worse. We can't say if he would have been better with or without them so there's no real comparison.
Overall his teething has been ok - sometimes he has signs of teething but doesn't appear to be in any pain. Once or twice he's clearly really been suffering though.
At the end of the day loads of people thought they were a cool looking necklace and they are only £6 at time of writing. UK sent and low P+P because they are very small and light. They do move around the neck so we got two. Also, they seem to stretch a bit as your wee one grows but we did cut them off and get two more after a year. They are knotted on and are difficult to undo as any attempt turns into a vain wrestling match where there can only be one (small) winner.
