He's been taking medication for high blood pressure for several years and has been (a bit half-heartedly) trying to improve his lifestyle. His diet's OK, he exercises a couple of times a week but IMO drinks too much coffee and alcohol. He's about a stone over weight
Anyway, he's volunteered to be an Army cadet leader and they sent him for a medical. Doctor won't sign him fit until the blood pressure's under control - it's still too high in spite of the meds.
My concern is that if he's not fit to take a group of kids hiking, should he be running or doing other exercise? But, if not, how does he get fit?
