Shortening menstrual cycle?

I am 31 - one DD aged 5. Cycle generally around 30-32 day mark for years, but the last few months have been 27-29 days.

I'm guessing this is an age thing and they will inevitably begin to shorten, but has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, mine was always bang on 29 days, it's shortened gradually in the last 5 years and now it's around 24-25 days and seems to be sticking at that.

I'm 36.

Ah thank you - that's reassuring to hear! Smile

Weirdly I was just thinking the same today about mine going from 34 days to 28-30 in the last 5 years

I'm 33

Thanks Cheese - does sound like an inevitable joy then! I was debating going to the GP but figured that complaining about an average 28 day cycle may receive a Hmm - and I guessed it was such a small shift that it would likely be age-related.

Weird though, this isn't something anyone has ever told me about but when I mentioned it to a friend yesterday she also said the same

Yep, me too. I'm 42 & cycles getting shorter - they were 25-28 days when I was TTC DS at age 36. My mum had her menopause at 45, as did her mum, so I don't think it will be long for me....
