hi
i developed carpel tunnel during pregnancy which then developed into tendonitis. The doctors have said there is nothing they can give me for it as i'm breastfeeding and it will eventually go away. It seems to be getting worse day by day and I cant use my thumb on my right hand at all - which is very difficult when you're trying to pick up a 9 week old.
so i've booked in for acupuncture - has anyone else tried this - if so did it work?

I had accupuncture years ago, for RSI. I found it worked for about an hour afterwards, but not more than that. The accupuncturist said it would probably take a few sessions before it worked longer-term, but after 10 sessions he admitted defeat.

Have you asked to be referred to a physiotherapist? There are exercises they can give you, and there are also a number of treatments like ultrasound that they can try which won't affect your breast-feeding.
