ds has measles but he got his mmr????

yes, the vaccinations are not 100%
has he had 1 MMR jab or 2?

I had measles vaccination as a baby, but got measles at 5. Very mild case though.

Hope ds is OK.

2 of my DSs had measles after having the MMR. It is only about 90% effective I think.

Having measles will strengthen his immunity.
