had app letter to have lump removed from my eye next month today!

i had a sty when ds was 6 weeks old and have had a lump there since (ds is now 18 months!) i have finally had my appointment through to have it removed next month im just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar to this and can give me any idea what to expect ie will it be a local or general anesathecic (sorry cant spell!) will it hurt how long to recover ect???

i had a very small lump removed from my eye lid in 2001 - local anaesthetic and left the hospital about an hour after having it done
dont think i had any stitches....
it did not hurt but was a bit nasty getting the injection

DH had this a couple of years ago under local. He did not have any problems and is a bit of a wimp in this department so was quite surprised. Let's just say he wasn't the best birthing partner and he wasn't even going through the pain bit! Nope he was surprised about how quick and pain free it all was.
