Anyone had a cortisone injection into neck & shoulder? I'm due for one in 2 wks time...what can I expect?

I was given one in my shoulder about 6 weeks ago.

I'm scared of needles and was really worried.

Tbh, it didn't really hurt, just a pinch and then a few seconds later it was over.

Takes about a week to 'kick in', but really worked for the pain I'd been having.

Agree with everything above, didn't look at the needle (I can't) and didn't feel a thing all over in less than a minute. Had constant shoulder pain for 18 months, gone in a few days. Brilliant.

Thanks for the replies....sorry I've no idea how long it lasts for but I have been told you can only get a few in any one set period.
