Any tips for coping with the jabs at 4 years old?

Lots of dd's chums have gone a bit hysterical with the jabs at 4 years (one in each thigh).

Any tips for dealing with them? I was thinking of asking whether they could do them both at the same time (i.e. have two nurses in the room). What do you reckon?

Have a treat ready for afterwards (my dd2 wanted a comic??) but I thought, well whatever makes this bearable!

That's what I did. DD had hers in the tops of each arm and was pretty good about it by all accounts.

Maybe a shot of Calpol or whatever 20 mins or so beforehand to help ease things a bit ? Docs/HVs have given me this advice in the past.

Also the treat goes a LONNNNNNNNNNNG way. DD made DH buy her the most hideous Bratz doll she could possibly find, because she knew that if Mummy had taken her Bratz wouldn't have even been considered.....

Definitely bribery!

Also I'd recommend talking about it loads beforehand. Roleplaying with toys and stuff.
