dd (14 months) had a temp and off food at weekend. then back on food but had a rash. doctors says nothing sinsiter but gave her once over and said one ear was a bit sore. he gave antibiotics prescription but said rash was probably viral and therefore so would be ear infection and only use antibiotics if fever came back.
dd is well in her self, rash is going now (after 2 days). occasionally puts finger in ear for a rummage but not often, fever hasn't come back and she is eating normally.
However read on other threads some horror stories about burst ear drums etc. should i be giving her ab's anyway??
