Constant nausea but no cause...

About 7 weeks ago I started feeling really nauseous, gagging a lot in the morning, feeling weak/dizzy sometimes too. Thought maybe I was pregnant after a few weeks (not trying) but 2 tests were negative. I had a period but as I did with my ds I did another test a few days after too just to check. Now it's been 7-8 weeks of feeling sick, bad taste in mouth, gagging in the mornings, and no answers.
Doc suggested sinus infection but didn't want to give me antibiotics (4 weeks in) to see if I could fight it. Have no head pain or tooth pain though so unconvinced. Had blood tests that showed elevated red cell count, and something that indicates parasites. Neither of which apparently explains my symptoms. My thyroid is also slightly overactive (already controlled with meds). Second doc I saw was stumped, said defo NOT a sinus infection and to get more blood tests (repeat them) in 6 weeks.
Despite overactive throid I'm gaining weight rather than losing as eating helps me not feel so sick.

Anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm seeing an acupuncturist next week but any possible causes would be great so I can at least run through them with doc if this continues.

Also worth noting no doctor has asked about my diet or felt stomach.

Thank you!

Have you travelled anywhere exotic? Did the doctor do a pregnancy blood test?

I have felt similar on a few occasions due to post nasal drip (not necessarily caused by a sinus infection - last bout was after working for three days in an air-conditioned conference centre). Made me feel dog sick, eating helps because it neutralizes the stomach acid caused by swallowing mucus (sorry it's a bit grim). Easily lasted a few weeks each time.

Sorry I don't have any answers but I had a 3-4 day bout of really horrible reflux / heartburn symptoms (never had before) about a month ago and have been left with daily nausea since. The nausea feels like that I experienced in pregnancy (definitely not pg now).

I initially put the heartburn down to a course of antibiotics for an eye infection which I'd just finished, but a friend experienced identical symptoms at the same time so I then presumed it must be a bug which I'm still thinking must be the case.
Am starting to think that if it goes on much longer I should see GP.

Both of my DC have had vomiting bug in the last week so am aware there are gastro bugs around.

Do you think yours could be a lingering bug of some sort?

A friend had these symptoms (crippling nausea) & ended up needing her gall bladder removed. Said she felt exactly the same as early pregnancy
