Odd mole on back - worried.

I have a funny looking mole on my back. I'm not sure it's a new mole, or an old one that's changed, it's hard to check your own back regularly. I noticed it in the summer but thought I'd just rubbed it on my bra strap, as it's directly underneath, then forgot about it until yesterday when I found it again.

It's pinky-brown, about 7mm across, raised and doesn't have a very clearly defined edge. I'm shitting myself, going to the GP tomorrow if I can get an appointment.

I'm 34, fair skinned with a history of reckless sunbathing in my late teens and early 20s. Very worried. Please tell me there are lots of non-nasty things it can be!

DH has loads of moles, occasionally one changes, the dr whips it off and has it checked, but they've all been fine.

You're right to get to the GP, but try not to worry too much about it.

Thanks. I'm sure I'm probably just over-worrying. Fingers crossed that they will give me a gp appointment tomorrow, or else I'm going to keep worrying!

Haha, thanks! It's been a rough year, for various reasons, and I've had it brought home to me that bad things really can happen to anyone. Worrying doesn't help though. Thanks for the replies. I will pull myself together & go to bed I think!
