Can I request Infranix for 3rd set of jabs at 16 weeks

My daughter has had 2 sets of vaccines, and has her 3rd set coming up. Will the doctor allow the Infranix when she has had the mercury ones already, or will they argue she has to have the same? Any advice welcome! She was fine after 1st set, but reacted to the 2nd (swelling, temperature, bad nappy rash which she has never had...)

I don't see why not- but the pertussis is different- so there could be a problem. Your GP won't be keen though as following dept of health guidelines he shouldn't give infanrix to a baby (becuase of the pertussis being supposedly less effective). Unless there's some reaosn why the 2 pertuiss strains don't mix (and I can't think what that would be) then I think you could insist on it. It is your choice. Actually I can't see that there would be a problem as sometimes children having a bad reaction to the DTP are then given the DT for later jabs (no point doing this though as DT always contains thimerosil).
