Breast pain (worried).

Hi mums,

Wonder if anyone's had anything similar? Bit of background: I've had an awful virus/cough thing that I'm just coming out of after six weeks. (No antibios from Docs), and I am feeling generally crap and achy still.

But I've noticed a particular pain in my breast - kind of centre and underneath the boob really. Not too acute, but a nagging pain. Enough to keep me awake at night.

Obviously have checked for lumps but there's nothing. I'm quite skinny with small boobs so all I'm feeling is my ribs when I check. There's no swelling, no redness, nothing. Any ideas?

I haven't breastfed for three years.

Thanks. Starting to get a bit worried about this and thinking of seeing GP.

It could be just a pulled /strained muscle from all the coughing.If you are worried though you would be better to see your GP and get properly checked out.
