lump on eyeball

I'm going to the doctors on Friday to get it checked but wondered if anyone has had this. I can't see it but can feel it just under my eye socket definitely on my eye ball. Its hard, non moveable probably thr size of a ballbearing. There are no other symptoms and i'm not sure how long it's been there.

I had my eyes tested 6 weeks ago and no one spotted it, but would an eye exam spot that sort of thing? Any replies would be gratfully recieved, thanks.

Hi OP. I've not got any medical know-how to offer I'm afraid. I did have a tiny white bump on my eyeball a few months ago, near the iris. Went with some antibiotic drops.

Whatever it is you can feel, you can bet it's a fraction of the size of what yours feels like.

I'm no expert at all but if this lump is not visible then I don't suppose a regular eye test would have seen it.

Whatever it is... try to forget about it until you see the doc. Can you not get anything sooner?

Thank you for replying Smile. Friday is ok as it doesn't hurt luckily but it's so strange and I must admit im a little worried. I'm sure you're right about the size it's probably much smaller than it feels.

I had one of these, went to the Doc who couldn't tell me what it was but was fairly unconcerned. I just noticed the other day that's it's finally gone. I had it for about 9 months, I've been fairly run down this year, major bereavement etc...so I've chalked it up to maybe being stress related.

Thanks themightyfandango, that's reassuring. I am under a lot of stress at the moment so maybe that is what it is.
