Hi does anybody know how contagious tonsilitis is please?

I understand there is bacterial and viral.

yes it can be until antibiotics are started

It's not contagious (according to my GP - DS came down with it on the day of DDs birthday party and GP said no reason to keep him away from the party guests). I think most people have the bugs that cause tonsillitis, it's just whether they go a bit nuts and cause the infection that varies from person to person.
