Have to take 18 mo DS2 for his at GP on Thursday. GP are notoriously useless at a0 being on time and b0 passing on info about effects of jabs (usually done at baby clinic btw) so... are there any side effects? Anything i need to know b4 he has it?

My ds1 had his first set if jabs four weeks ago and had it with that. He didn't really have any reaction to any of it apart from the intial scream. Other mums of older babies at my baby massage class have reported no probs either

Mine's had his the nurse said we could expect the usuall grizzly behaviour, temp cold like symptoms ect at the worst. DS was fine got nothing at all.

Olihan · 03/10/2006 18:34

DD (13 months) had it last week. The nurse said she may have a slight temp after 2 - 3 days and a bit of redness/swelling where the needle went in but nothing different to the other jabs. Apart from a red area around the needle mark she had no side effects at all. Wasn't even that bothered about the jab itself, although the nurse did say it's a stingy one cos the stuff is quite thick.

HTH put your mind at rest!!
