Night sweats following miscarriage....

Apologies in advance for upsetting nature of post....

I recently had a MMC at 9.5 weeks and had a d and c. This was almost 3 weeks ago....I have since been having awful night sweats on an almost nightly basis....

Back in December I had a previous MMC at almost 18 weeks and I remember having the same but it only lasted a couple of weeks.

They performed blood tests then and couldn't find anything and said it was probably hormones sorting themselves out....

Has anyone experience similar?....I'd be grateful of any info....

Thank you

No experience, but I would see my GP to make sure it is hormones and not infection that is causing this.

Thanks day I'm going to go to Drs in next few days if no improvement.

I agree. You need to rule out an infection. I wouldn't leave it any longer. Ring the GP for a telephone consultation and see what they say.

Thanks for replies I spoke to Dr yesterday on phone and he advised if still having them by end of week to make appointment and will do blood tests etc.

Think ill just make appointment a anyway though.

Night sweats can be caused by excess prolactin which is a breast milk hormone (among other things). I've never been pregnant but suffer awfully and apparently it's my high prolactin levels. Confused

Lots of other things can cause them though, your hormones must be tangled up atm.
