stabbing pain in side, any ideas?

Left side below breast but more to the side in between front and back.

Came on all of a sudden worse when breathing in. Disappeared only to come back again now disappeared again.

It hurt that much had it been continuous i would have probably popped myself to a&e.

I'm scared it will come back. I had a different pain earlier in the day lower down but more of a dull ache like kidney pain.

Any idea's?

Possible acid indigestion or gall stones? Go to see gp I think.

Or possible pleurisy if it hurts to breathe?!

I've a appointment with rhuetology tomorrow so I will tell them. Would pleurisy come and go?. I have been a bit breathless
And Lately waking up coughing through the night.

No I don't think pleurisy would, but ask them to check.
