Very sore head, can it be caused by sinuses?

I've had a strange headache since last night which affects pretty much whole right half of my head and face. I tried some ibuprofen for it this morning and it didn't help at all :( I'm now starting to wonder if the pain could be coming from my sinuses as I find the area at the side of my nose and under the eye particularly painful. The thing is I've not got blocked of runny nose at all and haven't had a cold.

Could this be sinuses?

I'm not a doctor but I would say yes. I went to the dentist once with upper toothache. He couldn't find anything wrong and asked me if I'd had a cold recently because he said he thought it was referred pain from my sinuses. I went to the doctor and lo and behold I had a sinus infection!

I often get infected sinuses with nothing other than pain to tell me it's there, and find ibuprofen and paracetamol don't help at all. Sinutabs or sudafed do work, and I also get a lot of relief by tilting my head back so far that my nose is pointing upwards - takes the pressure off something.
