ANOTHER sodding cold sore

Not had one for THREE years, and now on my 3rd in a sodding month. Got Zovirax (useless) and patches (better) but gah!!! Is there ANYTHING I can do.

Yes have been stressed, and am getting a cold. I've also had horrendous spots on my chin.

Help?

If it's still at the early stage hold an ice cube on Til it melts.
Also pop the blisters with a clean pin when they swell and dab with alcohol soaked cotton wool pads. Hurts but speeds up healing.
Sympathy from me, they are bloody vile.

Thank you. I will try these.

Go to your nearest health food shop and buy lysine. It's an amino acid, and a lack of it is linked to cold sores. I take one a day and rarely get them. When I do I take one every few hours, together with paracetamol. Lysine has seriously improved my life !

Great! I'm near a H&B tomorrow

Worth a try!!

Taking vit B Complex, zinc & 1000mg Vit C is supposed to help if you get cold sores.

Defo second the lysine suggestion! Its important to treat these things from the inside too!
You can even get topical creams / lip balms containing lysine.
I'd try everything listed here
