Getting Adult Teeth- any advice????

My dd (6) has adult tooth growing behind her top front baby tooth. Baby tooth is slightly wobbly but still feels secure in gum - don't think we could pull it out at home. As a result, new tooth (which is halfway down) is being pushed back well out of line with tooth beside.

Phoned dentist but will have to wait weeks for an appt so anybody know if this is normal way for teeth to come down??

dd1 (5) had this happen with her bottom teeth, she never had a gap because the adult tooth was there before the milk tooth fell out. Now the milk teeth are out, the adult ones seem to have shifted about and are in the right place. Not sure what is normal and what's not, TBH!

I have just taken ds1 aged 5 to dentist as he is having same problem on the bottom. The dentist said it was not a problem and that the jaw still has a lot of growing to do so the teeth should settle forward. They said they wouldn't do any work if necessary until about 8 or 9.

Normal - all ds' have done this so far, processs can take up to 2/3 months ime - and the new teeth do move into the correct alignment once the baby teeth are displaced. Occasioanlly the dentist may decide to pull the firsts one out if it is causing problems. (btw I asked the same question on MN about 2 years ago !)
