probable 2nd DVT. What now?

I had my first DVT after the birth of my dd1 about 5 years ago.
I went to the GP this morning with a week or two of new leg pain ad got sent for test at A and E. D diner came back positive and Ave scan booked in for tomorrow.
I'm nervous now but have no idea why it's back. No travel and my last child is now 11 months so no real risk factors apart from having already had one.
Hase anyone else had a reoccurring clot?
Does this mean long term anticoagulants?

Some people are more prone to clots than others - some because they have Hughes Syndrome or another clotting disorder, some for no known reason (like my dad).

I think that it would be 6 months of Warfrin first, plus some tests if you have no risk factors this time, then if you have more clots, long term anticoags. But you will be under the 'clotting' clinic, so talk to them if it turns out you have another DVT

I have also had 2 DVTs (that i am aware of) now.

I do have a blood clotting disorder, which was only picked up when I had the first DVT. So six months of monitoring and Warfarin - then signed off.

Last summer I got another - so am now on lifelong Warfarin. I wasn't too happy about it - but I guess I have peace of mind knowing that it is less likely that I will have further problems involving blood clots/stroke whatever.

My blood clotting problem is called Factor V Leiden - and (apparently) 5% of Caucasion people will have it. That's quite a large amount, but as it isn't routinely tested for - it may be worth asking your consultant if it is worth checking your bloods for anything similar?
