It's horrible!
I was diagnosed with it last Monday, I'd previously had 6 weeks of IV antibiotics when I developed a brain abscess after having a tumour removed.

Haven't I had enough going on?

I finished the course had an additional alcohol-free 48hours, as advised but now I'm straight back on them so no Wine for me. Sad

I'm taking pro-biotics and am drowning in Yakult and live yoghurt but have had enough of it now.

Has anyone else been through this?

Oh Sauv, I saw the title & hoped it wasn't you.
I'm so sorry you're still suffering :( no advice I'm afraid, just keep on with the probiotics.
I really hope you're well soon. You don't deserve this.

Thanks Germgirl Grin

I need Wine I've got another 10 days of Metronidazole. It's not fair!

I nearly cried yesterday at the Dentists, he wanted to start me on amoxicillin for a dental abscess but I was worried about the affect on the C Diff and said no. He said it shouldn't cause any problems but I wasn't convinced. Hmm

Public Health called me today, I feel like a leper!

Aww. Don't feel like that. They called me once, when I had salmonella. They're just doing their job & it's not your fault you've got C diff! The metronidazole you're on should sort out the dental abscess so you don't need amox as well.
You're not having a good time at present. I just hope things get better soon.
Take care.

Thanks Germgirl, I'm glad I said No to the dentist, it just didn't seem right, if I'd known I was going to be re-started the argument would have been even shorter.

Public Health said they wouldn't re-test me as that would be a new occurrence, I guess they just rely on me being symptom free; they're going to call again next week.
