Been struggling with a rosacea flare up on my nose since around April.

I look like Rudolph it is so red sore flaky and spotty. GP has given me a prescription for doxycycline tablets.

Does anyone have any experience of this or any other treatment? I'm worried that if I don't get it under control soonish I'll be pulling Santa's sleigh at Christmas. Seriously it glows!!!!

Anyone?

You have my sympathy, I had this on my cheeks and forehead for years. I had lymecycline but the thing that cleared my skin up almost completely was cutting out dairy. Not suggesting that you do it, I've always had problems with dairy and just feel so much better without it Smile

I had Clarithramycin for mine, it was awful but cleared up beautifully after a long course. I slather E45 cream on it now and it's kept my skin from getting bad again.

I have been taking doxycycline for 7 years for acne rosacea. The tablets took a few weeks to work but I am now red free and blister free. If I stop taking the tablets it does come back but they work brilliantly in my experience
