me too - well my metacarpel so in effect, my hand. have my whole lower arm (and fingers) in a cast. yes it does suck. where is yours?

i know mama, i know. I shut it in the car door. it is very big and bruised and my nail is manky as hell

yes i went to my surgery. All they can do is tape it to my ring finger. We had got back from hols the night before so I had shed loads of washing, a manky finger, and turned 30 all in one crapola week

It's a right bugger. I broke various fingers on a regular basis playing basketball. And it doesn't get you nearly enough sympathy I reckon. Unless there's a cast, no-one thinks of a broken bone.

i'd give anything not to have a cast! as it is my entire hand is out of action and could possibly be this way for 6 weeks! ab- have you tried soaking it in warm water, then cold and warm again? also keep it elevated for swelling.

OMG, trapping it in a car door sounds bloody painful
