Morning sickness - NOT pregnant

I have been feeling nauseous and often throwing up in the morning recently. I am definitely not pregnant. Am on my period and was sick this morning.

I wondered if I was feeling nauseous because I wasn't eating anything until I got to work (nearly 2 hrs after I wake up) as usually just have cup of tea at home in the morning. But despite eating bowl of porridge or bagel, am still sometimes being sick. I am hypoglycemic so try to eat little and often to maintain blood sugar levels.

It seems there is no pattern to when I'm feeling nauseous either. Have been physically sick 4 times in last fortnight, so I don't think it's to do with ovulation. But could it be a hormone problem?

Things like brushing my teeth or strong smells when opening the fridge, or walking behind someone smoking can set me off. I am usually fine by around 10am once I am settled at my desk. Otherwise, I am in good health: eat well, exercise 3+ times a week, non-smoker, not a big drinker.

It's really annoying cos it is making me late for work and I hate being sick. Any suggestions what could be causing it?

I had this when I had gallstones.

Do you have any other symptoms? I got an ache and a sort of pulsing feeling beneath my ribs on the right side after I ate a heavy meal, but the morning sickness was the worst symptom.

Definitely worth going to the doctor if you're vomiting over an extended period of time.
