Scabby nipple with discharge

Hi here I'm new to this... My nipple has been crusting up, going flat and generally sore. I went to my gp and he has referred me to the breast clinic. I'm scared out my wits! The bottom of my nipple is swollen and tender. Anyone know what this could be?

I had periductal ecstasia and had similar symptoms to you, although I had nipple discharge as well.
I know you are probably very anxious, but you should be seen under the 2 week rule.
