1st period after cesarean...bit weird

Had my ds by c-section almost 8 weeks ago, had a infection 4 weeks after he was born which i was on AB's for, it has now cleared up (i think).

2 days ago i had a little bit of slimy brown blood so assumed this was my period (sorry if tmi) so i started my mini pill (cerazette) and my period has amounted to nothing still just a smear of brown slimy type stuff (with a few small clots).

Is this normal after a c-section and a infection? iirc after my dd (normal delivery) my 1st period was pretty horrific and very heavy.

Would be grateful if anyone can adivse? or say their experiences of their period after a section.

I didnrt take any pill after my first birth and tbh would have waited for by body to get in order before starting. How much do u weigh? (if u re slimmer it will have a stronger affect) Were u taking a mini pill after your first birth? Considering that this pill wokrks by thicking womb lining, u would not ecpect heavy bleeding, ao if you take it what describe ould be perfectly normal. But I do think u shud check it out wiht ur gp if u are worried.

another question, do u nomally have periods on it? what are they like?

I was on Cerazette after my c-section and I bled on and off all the time I was on it. sometimes it was just a streak of blood (sorry if tmi) other times it was quite heavy.

I went to my GP who advised to mini pill can cause irregular bleeding, however as I'm still BF I can't go on the combined pill yet.

I came off the pill because i couldn't handle the constant bleeding and I had my first normal period a couple of weeks ago. DD is 5 1/2 months.

Thanks for the replies, this is the 1st time i have taken this pill so not sure of what bleeding would be like, and unfortunately i am not slim lol.

My GP said to start taking it the 1st day of my next period which i did as i thought this was my 1st period which would start off with not much and get heavier, but has amounted to nothing much at all so i am just a little confused tbh.

Never been on the pill but my first few periods after CS were weird like you describe - not much to talk of, TMI - basically just a bit of brownt slime when I wiped after the loo.

I was worried to the poin of thinking I might be pregnant - as I had regular periods like this for the first3-4 months of DS pregnancy.

Unfortunately all hell then broke loose after a few months and they became really heavy and clotty.
