I am on saint johns wort at the moment for PMT. I know it is supposed to take 6-8 weeks to take effect and the brands vary in how good they are too. I had a bit of an improvement this month, managed not to fall out with everyone at least!

melsy · 10/04/2004 14:00

Yeah my need for chocolate is nutty at the mo. had an argument in M&S about it yesterday in Brent X. If you heard anyone shouting in there at 1:00, it was me shouting at being told off for buying too much and to "choose a smaller bag" !!!I told hime I wanted seperation I was sooo despesrate for it!!!

maybe melsy the word metal signifies that u need some

my mum went to a chiroprator recently - he is not a conventional one but uses other techniques crystals or something and prescribes vitamins to her.
She was feeling ancient and not well for ages.. and now she feels great.
I will ask her about it again.
This guy is very popular - people come from all over the country to see him

melsy · 10/04/2004 14:48

I actually eat a good and varied diet. I love fruit and veg. I eat a lot of oily fish. I try and drink water. The thing I dont do enough is excersise.

What foods have metal in ???

papillon · 10/04/2004 14:54

goodkate · 10/04/2004 15:21

I'm just the same melsy. I eat well but nothing seems to work. chocolate is good though, you can't beat sitting on the sofa bawling your eyes eat choc feeling sorry for yourself.

but thats not helping is it. There is a herbal remedy but can't remember its name at moment, will get back on that one.

linzoid · 10/04/2004 15:38

Agnus castus is said to help hormonal problems and Vitamin b6 although i have read that you should take with other b vits aswell. Haven't worked for me though

melsy · 10/04/2004 16:26

I wonder if u can take b6 & agnes castus with anti depressants??? Is it homeopathic???

OP posts:
linzoid · 10/04/2004 16:33

It's a herbal remedy. B6 you can take with a.ds coz it's only a vitamin ( found in dark leafy veg among other things) not sure about agnus castus. I know saint johns wort should not be taken with ad's.

goodkate · 10/04/2004 19:49

thats it! agnes castus! I tried it a few years ago and it seemed to work. In fact my dh and me have just been discussing my outrageous outbursts and I think I might give it a go again. I'm about to be put onto anti-depressants, so I wonder if that might clash too.

I'll ask gp next week. I was rather hoping the ad may calm me down but after what melsy has said, maybe not.
