Did your child have a preschool eye test?

Where they called? By who and when?

Just curious as there is a space in the red book to suggest that there should be a preschool eye test.

DD has not been called for one - she started school this month. Should she have been?

I actually have no worries about her eyes - she seems fine.

Just wondering.

Dd had an eye-test very shortly after starting Reception last year. It was done in school by a health visitor, and a letter was sent home with the result, to be kept in the red book - I assumed that it was instead of the pre-school one.

Thanks. Wonder if that will happen for DD then (independent chool - will it make a difference?) - just think it is strange there are all these spaces n the red book, yet once the child turns 2 they don't seem to be bothered any more, apart from the dreaded pre school boosters!

I had a leaflet through from Boots asking me to book an eye test for Ds1. I thought they must of got the info from bounty or something.
