I know there must be zillions of threads about back pain but I am worried about mine. It started off a few months ago and is only sore at night. I used to sleep on my front all the time and now it's just too painful. Even sleeping on my sides is sore and when i move in the night the pain wakes me up. Sleeping on my back is the only bearable position. After I get out of bed in the morning it's more or less gone to the point where i don't think about it in the day.

I'm sure it's just age (I'm 40) and having had 2 kids but could it be a sign of anything more sinister? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for all your feedback!

I have exactly the same. Also a front sleeper for years and now I can't due to the pain. If I end up on my front in bed I wake up hardly able to move.
It feels like the pain is just were it bends. I also have coccyx pain but that is a separate issue, when I have been sat square on for a while.
My back pain goes when I have been in a different position for a while.

I spend most of my day sat down and over time have developed a sore back.. that mixed with lifting weight's that were clearly too heavy for me resulted in a budging disk... pain is very sore at times and trying to hyper extend my spine just is not possible.... is there anything apart from surgery that i can do to amend this problem???
