Acid Reflux and Digestion Issues 5 months post cesarean

I am not sure whether having a cesarean 5 month prior has anything to do with this or not - but would like to get some views.

The first symptom was pretty horrible acid reflux, lump feeling in throat, nausea, stomach cramps. This has been going on for just over 2 months now and making me really miserable.

I now cant eat any type of grain (no pasta, rice, bread or even potatoes) definitely no alcohol, no sugar. I ate a bag of salt and vinegar crisps the other day and was in bed with stomach cramps half of the next day.

Everything gives me stomach cramps, I can eat things like miso soup and tofu without experiencing acid reflux. Generally though the acid is in my throat most of the time.

As a result of the acid I get a sore throat and lose my voice very easily, talking has been hard at times and feeling really exhausted.

I have read threads on women experiencing these issues post C section - event though they were ok in the immediate months after the birth.

Doctor has just given me Lansoprazole - but I really think this just masks the real problem.

Does anyone have any experience?

I'm 6 months postpartum and getting bad GERD. Not sure if it's due to c section

The only way to really check out what’s going on is to get an endoscopy. This would also show if it’s actually acid or bile you’re refluxing....loads of people chugging down antacids of varying sorts where actually their primary issue isn’t acid.... worth asking your doctor about. Really hope you feel better soon, reflux of either kind is miserable!!
