I had root canal and an extraction at the same time. The root canal work seems to have worked but after 2 days I had a painful infection in the extraction site. The dentist put me on metronidazole, which was fairly grim. I finished the course 2 days ago and the extraction site is still sore and hot. There's a sore lump in my jaw.
Do I need to go back or just continue salt gargles?
