i know from searching that some of you have heard of this.
i was diagnosed with this shortly before i had my armpit abscess incised and drained,
now had it twice,
and developed a sinus in my breast, the nurse said it was a sinus because a piece of packing had been left inside the wound and worked its way out through my breast.
is she likely to be right or am i going to continue to get sinuses everywhere?
Sad

I have no idea if she could be right or not. Which is of no help to you.
But as a fellow sufferer you have my sympathies, and I hope you soon have some answers.

the mantra seems to be fingers crossed, from all doctors.

Unfortunately it is. And you have to follow 'certain steps' of treatment to get to anything new. Despite knowing they are no good and just prevent getting to anything that might help even a little bit. I am yet to find a gp who actually seems to want to be a help, and doesn't just look slight sympathetic and say something along the lines of ' it must be awful but.....'

oh dear, frustrating isnt it.
surely I may soon be post menopause, or something, not had a period for months, so perhaps that will knock it on head. Hmm

i read somewhere about drinking tumeric.
might try that, or just add it to my cooking more

I had my dd 15 months ago and it's been awful since, but because I bf her, they won't do anything other than topical lotions. I refuse to let this horrid disease stop me bf my dd. It's had too many negative affects as it is.

Have you looked up the hs charity? (Official name escapes me) but there are a lot if knowledgable people there who might be able to offer you advice from their experiences.

I suffer with this and what I've found helpful is washing everyday using hibiscrub you can buy this from boots or Amazon.

I also take high strength zinc and tumeric capsules.

I still get the abscesses but they only last a day and are slowly draining away hth.

Turmeric! Compresses, and tablets. Read on EarthClinic how it helps people.

That is horrific that a sinus went from your underarm to your breast.

Please try the turmeric compresses. It can cause tingling in as little as ten minutes!

thank you, currently strapped up with dressings and whatnot and very painful.
but will try earthclinic thanks
