bleeding just after intercourse period due tomorrow

Hi, sorry to talk about it. I had intercourse with dh this am. I bled a bit later and thought that it had brought in my periods one day earlier. But since this morning no more bleeding. I am getting worried. I am due for my smear test next week( after my periods). I had ovarian cyst in the past and got it checked in May this year. All clear...Please advise...

Well if your period starts as normal and the random bleeding (spotting or more?) doesn't happen again then I woud just put it down to a one off. But if, after your period you bleed again after sex, I woud head off to the drs.

Thanks for your answer. Went down to doctor today who thinks it is due to my period being due. Will just need to do smear test. Still have not got my periods due today though. Not pregnant, test done

Are you using contraceptive pills?

I'm going to have to post and run, but if you are using hormonal birth control, then I know you can have "breakthrough bleeding" but I also used to get spotting solely after sex which I was told was down to the hormones somehow making the cervical area more sensitive (I can't remember the exact medical details but I came off that pill and the situation resolved completely).

Could you be pregnant? That blood could have been implantation, and your period isn't on it's way. If your period doesn't come in the next few days it might be worth testing...

I am definitely not pregnant as I haven't had inter course the whole month and I am not on the pill.... Still no period though but I think I have been really stressed lately... Should have them today hopefully... Thanks all... Will keep h updated
