My Dd has start school this year and im scared the enviable is about to happy... her closest friends mum hasa sick bug!! to me that's the four horsemen of the apocalypse dd has never had a bug before and she thinks a slight cold is the end of the world so this would completely wreck her. On top of my worry im 35 weeks pregnant so its really the last thing i need that awful in my house. i am paranoid about gems anyway i constantly use anitbac gel when i touch something 'public' like cash points door handles pelican crossings even when dd leaves the park its the gel straight out for fear the sick bug will get into my house. so its a waiting game... is there any symptoms i should look out for other then the obvious i should watch out for... will spend all day making sure towels bedding bleach and buckets are ready just incase. any suggestion how i can not panic about this

Telling anyone not to panic is like telling the wind not to blow. But you simply have to accept that minor illnesses are a part of life and an inconvenience and unpleasant but no more. By disinfecting ad nausuem you could actually be reducing your child's immune system from developing normally. Kids catch bugs. Sorry, they just do.

Maybe you should be asking for help from your GP about this fear? Certainly up I don't want your dd to be developing the same anxiety.
