Hi, I've had heavy periods for a while, am 44, and am sick of them, dr put me on the mini pill, said take it constantly without a break and periods will stop.
Great!!!
Except since I started taking it at the beginning of August I have bled, every bloody day.
It's really affecting my mental health now.
It's not heavy, but it's a constant flow.
My oh is lovely but think he's getting twitchy cos I won't do anything in bed whilst I'm bleeding.
I've been back to check this is normal, and GP said it was, it can take a while to settle.
Ugh.
Anyone gone through this?
I'm so tempted to stop taking it, just so I might get a break from bleeding!! At least before I knew every 4 weeks I would have a period, it would be awful, but it would end.
There's no end in sight to this.
Really, REALLY pissed off.

I started having periods every 2 weeks or so that lasted for 10 days. Went to GP and got referred to gynae. They checked there wasn't anything causing it, then prescribed norethisterone. I take 3 a day for 10 days and it has given me back a 4 week gap between periods.

This month I forgot to start it on the "right" day, bleeding started the following day and has lasted almost a week, so clearly I still need it.

I've taken that in the past to delay periods.
I'm desperate!! My cycle was regular, 3 weeks off, 1 on, but this, is, well, ridiculous.
How can I be losing blood for so many weeks?!
